Non-Payment, False Adverti*****t, *****ulent

I attended Boundless Academy Soweto AI Challenge on 12 June 2026 which was advertised as for 50 unemployed graduates, GIZ funded, with prize money and certificates for ALL participants.

On the day, only 17 unemployed graduates attended. They added 20 of their own students to make 37 people total - not 50 as advertised.

Since 12 June (2 months ago) no prize money has been paid. They said only 3 winning groups need to submit proof of account, others get nothing.

For certificates, they first promised ALL participants will get one, then changed story to winners only. This was called out by another participant Boledi in the AI Event WhatsApp group: "Now, the certificate is for winners while you promised that all participants will get a certificate....what's going on mara, please clarify that, please" - I have screenshot proof.

> I lodged a complaint with NCC on 17 Aug and now with CGSO. I am warning other graduates to be careful of false promises about funding and prizes.
