Money Deduction

I signed up for a free 4-week plan on Shaw Academy in the month of March and before the month was over, cancelled my classes. Then on the 1st of April, Shaw Academy charged a subscription plan on my account, one that I didn’t sign off on and also did not get any notifications about. Then yesterday a deduction from my bank account was made for outstanding fees which I did not know existed. When asking for a refund, they told me that they cannot grant my request because my account was cancelled after the renewal date, which again I DID NOT KNOW about that renewal date or that I would be charged.
