Free 4 week course... Great.. But not actually! I purchased a premium membership for R399 by accident and tried to have the money refunded, if not refunded to cancel the membership and to rather purchase a toolkit instead, the consultant that responded to my dispute advised I was not abpe to be refunded, I could not switch it to a toolkit and I could not cancel the 12 month subscription.

I tried removing my bank details from the app, which it did not allow, so I deleted the app and did not use any of the services I purchased.

2 days ago I received a notification that money was deducted from my bank account for R399 and lo and behold Shaw Academy shows its face again after a year.

I downloaded the app again to check what was happening only to see that the 12 month membership just renewed itself, no notice, no notification or approval from me for this purchase and no correspondence from the organization alerting me of the renewal.

As a customer do I not have a say?

And now that I have disputed this purchase again they tell me I cannot be refunded.

How do I get my money back from this people?

Do not signup for any courses with this company. No contact number to speak to someone everything is done via a support messenger that is linked to your email.

Rather work with a more reputable institution that actually wants to help you with your studies and stays in contact with you.
