BEWARE SHAW ACADEMY IS A ****

To whom it may concern

I signed up for my free trial membership with Shaw Academy in July. I then cancelled my trial membership shortly after on 24 July 2020 long before the trial period expired. It was stated on the Shaw Academy website that I would not be charged so I trustingly supp**** my credit card details.

I noticed that there were unauthorized debits of R399 on my account from Shaw Academy. There were four debits of R399 each amounting to R1200. After phoning and emailing back and forth continously with Shaw Academy to let them know of my complaint and get refunded I have been to my bank, Nedbank, who have recommended that I lay a ***** charge against Shaw Academy,which was on 9 November 2020

I am actually on permanent disability due to a spinal injury and cannot afford to be charged *******ly. The amount you have taken from me covers an entire month's food bill for myself. I am already struggling financially and this theft that has occurred is very wrong. Please be aware that Shaw Academy is a ********** company. Do not sign up with them for a free trial membership, they will *******ly debit your account every month. The best way to stop these debits is to close your bank account immediately as they will continue to charge you. I am also aware of many people who have signed up and paid for a course only to be told that the modules are not ready yet and will be in a few weeks. This does not happen and you will be unable to continue your studies but will still be charged
