I'm sorry your experiences haven't been great.
I would firstly like to address your reference to the word “*****”, as this is something that we take incredibly seriously. We have at no point taken payments from you, or any of the 5 million students we have educated, unless the student entered their payment details to a secure payment page and manually completed the transaction. In every one of our emails, landing pages, offer banners and indeed the payment page itself, we do outline that the offer presented to you was a one month free trial which would run automatically into a monthly recurring payment if not cancelled. Cancellation can be completed in your member’s login area at any time, there is no cost associated with cancellation and no contract so the payments can be cancelled at any point.
You have referenced the fact that you did sign up for a one month free trial, the only way this could have been achieved was by signing up via a payment page with either a credit/debit card or by using PayPal, we do not store payment information and use some of the world’s largest payment transaction providers in order to ensure a seamless and professional user experience for each and every student who signs up with Shaw Academy. You did enter your payment details and failed to cancel the recurring payments, due to this fact payment automatically re-presented the request for funds from your account until such time that there were funds to pay for the service you signed up for, in this case access to Shaw Academy’s award winning online education.
Having said that, I would like to help you sort this out. Please write to ***, we will ensure that we resolve this to your satisfaction.
Regards,
Shaw Academy
Best regards,
