Ruined romantic weekend

Our hotel stay was incredibly disappointing from the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out.

To start, the front desk receptionist (the lady wearing spectacles) had a terrible attitude. She initially ignored us entirely, and when she finally acknowledged our presence, she was completely unwelcoming. She abruptly sent us away and told us to come back at 3:00 PM to check in.

The hotel itself has a permanent, damp smell, and the walls have absolutely no soundproofing, you can hear everything happening in the hallways and neighboring rooms. To make matters worse, our room had no heating whatsoever, leaving us freezing all night.

The absolute lowest point of our stay, however, was the hotel restaurant. We ordered dinner, but my wife had to send most of her food back because the prawns were completely raw. Our waiter even looked at the dish and openly agreed with us. Shockingly, the kitchen didn't fix the food, nor did they offer a replacement, yet we were forced to pay for it in full.

What was supposed to be an exciting, romantic weekend away turned into a total disaster. We literally felt ****** both of a nice getaway and of our money, considering we were charged for food we couldn't even consume. We will definitely not be back.
