SSDA – A Masterclass in Incompetence and Harassment
If you enjoy being bombarded by endless calls from debt collectors who apparently can’t read or do basic math, then SSDA is the company for you. Let me set the scene: I settled my account MONTHS ago, in full, because of an error that had nothing to do with me. Yet, here we are—SSDA calling me daily as if I’m personally responsible for every single clerical error made by a hospital.
Their team of "professionals" clearly has nothing better to do than harass people who have already resolved their issues. Is there some secret incentive program at SSDA for the person who can send the most threatening letters or call the most often? Oh wait—scratch that. They don’t even bother sending any letters. Instead, they just call non-stop, and once you actually answer the phone, they hang up on you. Yes, you read that correctly. They waste your time, annoy you with calls, and then hang up the second you pick up. Brilliant strategy, guys.
What’s truly astounding is that no one at SSDA seems to have the mental capacity to look up the account status, confirm that it’s been settled, and then, oh, I don’t know, stop harassing me. Instead, they’ll continue to call and waste your time, just to hang up like they're auditioning for a role in a bad reality show. Spoiler alert: I already paid.
If you enjoy dealing with a company that couldn’t manage to fix its mistakes if its life depended on it, then SSDA is your golden ticket. A special shout-out to their customer service reps, who seem to think ‘apology’ means ‘we're sorry we’re ***********, but let’s call you again tomorrow anyway.’
In short: SSDA, you are everything wrong with debt collection. Absolutely avoid them at all costs.
