Shapiro Shaik Defries & Associates ********** debt collectors

My MTN account was handed over for collection to them. I made arrangements and stuck to them. September 2021 they called offering me a discounted settlement amount of R900.00, I agreed to pay this via a 1 month debit order and was assured that once payment was received the account would be closed and MTN would be informed.

They debited as arranged Oct 2021. To my suprise they debited again November 2021. I called and requested a refund and for the account to be closed as per the promise and that I be provided with a paid up letter. The refund was of R716.83 was paid January 20th 2022.

I have been sent from piller to post since then, promised paid letters, I have emailed and called numerous occasions and have never received my paid up letter.

The MTN account has now been handed to Nimble- I have informed them of the above yet they continue to call me requesting payment.
