Refusal to provide me with copy of personal information on record
I received a call from the company regarding a Cell C account that was handed over to them. When I requested that they provide me with a copy of all my personal information they have on record the person refused and said it is not in a state/format to provide to me. As far as I am aware I have the right to receive a copy off any and all personal information held by them. It seems that they do not comply with the POPIA regulations.

01 Jun 2023, 11:49Following the above complaint I received the requested information from SSDA on 20 April 2023
Although I am still of the view that the handed over Cell C account was done by Cell C purely to ****** money from leaving customers as they have no proper cancellation process in place, I paid the amount due to SSDA on 20 April 2023.
on 20 April I received confirmation from SSDA that the payment will reflect in their account 24 hours later.
On 26 April 2023 I received a totally ridiculous SMS from SSDA demanding payment of ONE cent remaining on my account, that is after I paid the exact amount they provided to me on 20 April.
On 26 April 2023 SSDA confirmed that they received my payment and my paid up letter will be issued in 21 working days.
I follow up regarding the paid up letter on 9 May and received a response from SSDA on 17 May that it will be escalated. NOTHING TRANSPIRED
According to my lenient count, that period expired on 25 May 2023, STILL NO PAID UP LETTER RECEIVED!
HOWEVER, on 25 May a SMS follow up stating that "You have not paid your Cell C acc as agreed with SSDA. Pay today"
What utter incompetence.
Rather focus on allocating payments received and issuing the promised letter and focus less on chasing ridiculous 1 cent amounts outstanding.
