Offering Clients False Settlement Discounts

I was called early in April 2020 and was offered 60% discount on my Capitec account. The agent said I only had to pay R1083,93 to settle my account. It was tempting offer, I told him I did not have money but I am willing to sacrifice my UIF money as long as the account will be paid up. I made it a point to pay that amount as promised but never recieved a paid up letter. Instead, I got an sms this morning (29th may) stating I should pay R1183,93, I thought it was a mistake that will be rectified. I called the call centre and the agent I spoke to said the previous agent I spoke did not follow proper procedures in settling my account, so I am obliged to pay that R1183,93. I am not happy with this and I need an explanation, better yet, I am demanding my paid letter.
