*********** consultants and unprofessional service from SSDA

Since October 2021, I received phone calls from unknown numbers which I was reluctant to answer. Eventually I answered and a consultant from SSDA requested me to confirm my Id number, which I declined to do as it was an unknown person and company. She immediately ended the call and immediately after that I received a sms requesting me to deposit an amount with the banking details. It immediately aroused suspicion of ********** activities. No explanation whatsoever to say what the calls and sms were all about. In the meantime I queried Cell C about my a/c and when I mentioned the unknown calls from SSDA, Cell C called the Company requesting proof of whatever they are calling me about. I received an email with a statement from the consultant from SSDA. I rep**** by email explaining that I am not at fault at Cell C and also called him on his cell phone number printed on his email. The number did not exist. I then phoned the landline number of SSDA. He was however not in and I left a message for him to call me back. This never happened. Unprofessional service from SSDA!
