Harrased and ****** by MTN & SSDA

I am Amanda Williams (BA***) I write to you because I am trying to understand why I am owing SSDA legal fees after I have paid all the requested amount by your call center agents months after months, they claim to have the calls recorded yet no one goes back to listen to these recordings.

My MTN account was handed over to SSDA firm in 2023. I made arrangements to pay the account monthly.

I then received a call from their agent offering me a settlement amount on a balance of R400 odd. I paid it. The lady said I would not receive calls again and that I would get a paid up letter. I never received the letter

Three months later I got a call saying I am still owing. This shocked me as I was offered a settlement amount and paid.

December 5th 2024 I got a call of the very same nature. An offer with a settlement amount of 470 odd. Again I paid and waited for the paid up letter but never received it. The lady said it takes 21 working days

I got calls from their call center and when I picked up they said they were looking for someone else.

I have been sending proof of payment via your WhatsApp account. I have called and asked that they look into my account. Two people said they would escalate my account and get back to me. But all I am getting is calls telling me I owe.

Their WhatsApp IBOT says I still owe R430

I have statements to prove that I have been paying this again but it seems like I keep having to pay over and over again with out finishing it.

I seriously feel harassed and victimized over and over again as I pay a settlement amount that their agents say I owe and three months later there is a new amount.

Please check your records for all the payments made and settlement offers met and give me a break down of all that I have paid.

Honestly this can't continue like this. I will be paying SSDA every third month of my life.

I have just spoken to a Jabulisani at SSDA MTN and they said I must pay R447 now because they are charging me for Reception fees and all the calls made to me. I'm beyond frustrated right now and will seek legal action against this so called law firm. Judging by the reviews here, it seems I am not the only one being harrased and ****** every three months after being offered a settlement amount
