On 30 July 2015 SSDA sent an email not to me but to my father claiming that I owed an amount on my already closed Discovery Health account and that I had 7 days to settle the amount. I emailed back the following day asking why it wasn't actually sent to me (despite being the principal member and Discovery communicating with me directly previously), why they didn't attach proof of the outstanding amount and why there was no reference to my Discovery Health account number. I have received no response from them to date, but I have received a response from Discovery Health who confirmed that I owe nothing on my closed account. I can only assume that SSDA is acting **********ly by attempting to claim money that is not actually owing on closed accounts. I will therefore be reporting this to the Council for Debt Collectors.
