Careless Acts by Shapiro Shaik Defries & Associates Debt collection company for Home Choice

I took 3-bed covers from home choice and I was going to pay just under R300 PM for 24 months if I'm not mistaken. this was in 2020 and made payments accordingly until January 2021 when I lost my job, I stopped paying and my debt went up to +-R4000 I started paying again on the 22 of November 2021 I have been making payments monthly since my last payment was on the 7th of March 2022, but my account is not being updated by Home Choice or their debt collecting company Shapiro Shaik Defries & Associates had instructed me to make payments towards their lawyers/ Debt Collection company. I have been in contact with join risibe via this email address *** from Shapiro Shaik Defries & Associates, to my surprise she still wanted me to send her proof of payments which I find to be disturbing as I was receiving SMSs from this institution instructing me to make payments and send proof of payments to *** and my payments have been made with the required reference number and POP's sent to *** as per the institution's request but to date, my account has not been updated by Home Choice or Shapiro Shaik Defries and Associates (SSDA). I will make the same review and on Home Choice, as they are responsible for choosing these debt collectors who call SMS'ing nonstop with instructions to pay and send POPs to emails they don't even have access to and are not updating our account information on the credit bureau and this ensures incorrect and information on our credit report, these careless acts have serious consequences on us consumers.
