STAY AWAY

Contracted Shane Sonkind for a 43m2 Cemcrete floor project at my home; during this 3-week ordeal he used my site as a training facility. He completely messed up the first two attempts due to lack of knowledge, carelessness, very much came across that he also overextended himself by taking the project and felt like a side quest from start to finish. At each attempt the entire coating had to be removed and this was a messy/dusty business. I tried to expel him from the site at which he begged to now throw his total effort into the job, he also did not have the means to pay back the cost of his services, which I already paid in full, nor the product which left me with no choice but to give him the third chance. Was very persuasive how he would now be on site personally and get it right 100%. We were now left with one week to finish this part of the project, 80% of this period there was no Shane on site, he came to site very late with one of his workers whom have already done a full day of manual labour to prime and throw the floors which is supposed to be meticulous proses. Everything then was left for days with the rest of the work squashed into one day if you count him pitching up at site midday/evenings for the last two days. The final product is very much a rushed job with many flaws visible. Still incomplete as he did not have time to do the final seal before the carpenters were due the next day which he was very much aware of as it was scheduled the weeks prior with was delayed by him. I am now contracting another person to come remove every inch of his work. I have spent 11K on the product, 12K for Shanes's services, and will now pay another contractor to come to redo the entire floor by repurchasing the product. This was supposed to be a 5-day project, 3 weeks later I am starting from scratch with 3 buckets of Cemcrete left by Shane.
