WARNING !! DO NOT GO TO THIS SPA!!

WARNING – DO NOT GO TO THIS SPA!! Unfortunately I had a terrible experience at the Shamwari Day Spa --- I have been to a lot of spa’s over the years and I must say, my experience at this spa was the ABSOLUTE WORST. I had purchased a package for a full body message – a 30 minute facial, a 30 minute gelish manicure & 30 minute pedicure for myself & three others. All these below points I had mentioned to you after my treatments and the owner responded in a very defensive way with a huge attitude about it. 1. Firstly, While I was on the way to the spa, my sister called me TWICE saying the owner was rushing her and wanting to start without me & My friend & saying that we were meant to be there 15 minutes early (I, of course was not notified of this prior to our appointment) I arrived at least 8 minutes to 09.00 and was ‘greeted’ by the owner who was actually quite unfriendly and rude. 2. Secondly, as I had mentioned the bathrooms we used had no toilet seats as well as no soap in them – very unsanitary & certainly not ‘beauty spa’ conditions 3. Thirdly, I am very unimpressed by the manicure and pedicure treatments: • Mine for one was rushed and being pregnant did not take the fact that it was done laying down on my back very well. • The the****** who was ‘looking after’ my friend had left my her to go and sort out food which is very unprofessional • The the******s attending to my mother and sister didn’t even know they had to do pedicures and then rushed the treatments which all were definitely not up to standard ( my mother’s toes left in a horrific condition) her the****** actually hurt her and she bleed. • The manicure and pedicure did not take 30 minutes and were definitely not Gelish as I was lead to believe • I was also assured that we could choose to have colour should we wish at an extra cost that I can pay on the day which you then very sternly said NO to as you were booked back to back 4. Lastly, I was given green tea in a pot full of ants - which is quite obvious that it had not been cleaned before using to severed I paid quite a bit of money to have a ‘’memorable day’’ (As you put it) for my sister and friends birthday – I can say it wasn’t memorable in a good way.
