Poor Excuse To Reject My Claim

This is regarding my rejected claim (JOHNS ***) for my bond protection. I am appalled at the basis of the decision taken. Due to a recorded telephone call on October 15th was an "indication of potential retrenchment" during the waiting period.

I am well aware of the telephone call that this decision was based on. I contacted Shackleton Life in a panic as soon as I heard retrenchment rumors at my company. The gentleman clearly informed me that I will still be paid out as long as the official retrenchment letter or formal communication was forwarded to employees after the 3 month waiting period. Rumors is certainly not official communication. My policy commenced on August 1st, which means the waiting period would have lapsed on November 1st. Retrenchment was only officially communicated to employees on November 27th.

How is it possible that a decision was made based on my enquiry?

My claim needs to be relooked at because this is a clear *******. The gentleman assured me that I would be covered. Agents as so friendly and accommodating when it's time to convince clients to take out insurance policies, but when it's time to pay up, they look for any loop hole not to and everything just turns sour... Unacceptable!
