Insurance claim

I do have shackleton life as my life bond insurance. No problem at all. Now i had a stoke in November 2019 and im still booked of from work. I am trying to claim as i won't get paid from the end of this month. The thing is i had a stroke as simple as that, meaning they will need the dockers report and a letter from work? Now they asked me for personal information like bank statements? What school dit i attend? What does that have to do with my stoke? My appointment letter and contract from work? I think this is unnecessary. I am struggling to get all the documentation together as i have to go up and down for all the paperwork they require.
