My Kingdom for a Kenwood blender goblet!

Just giving this company 1 start hurts me. Badly. My order number: SH18532 I ordered a part for a Kenwood glass goblet(Beaker part of the blender accessory) for my Kenwood. Model no: KMM700series Serial no: ********** I ordered this part on the 11th April. Today is the 12th of June. I received delivery today - 2 months it took for this company to deliver me the WRONG item. See photo attached for your viewing pleasure. My original is the one on the left, lest there be any confusion.

Initially when I tried to order this part on their website I had one of their employees tell me the listed price at R399, or thereabouts, was incorrect and to try and order again in a day or 2 when the price was ‘correct’, almost double in fact. I’m quite certain that according to the consumer protection act this was *******, if not **********. But I exercised good faith and went ahead and ordered it at the higher price, and paid, in full, without them having to hound me for my hard earned cash. I can say I have now learnt that warm and fuzzy lesson, this being the only nugget I can thank them for!

And then the 8 week delivery time, with an incorrect product delivery! Mind blowing. Had someone had the decency to be honest, do their homework, and communicate that this was the expected lead time this wouldn’t have been an issue. But it seems the front and backends of this business do not work so well, confusing elbows with other bits.

So as you might imagine, or perhaps you might not, I am done. I requested a full refund on this order, and this other incorrect, totally useless to me, part to be collected at my convenience. Neither has happened.

Apparently I am now also required to fill in a refund form for my troubles, which I was told by the chap who took my call from ‘parts’ (because quite unbelievably customer care was not working, hilarious) I would be emailed straight away. Shocking, I know, but I have yet to have received this promised refund form. Also hilarious, I know, only I’m not laughing. Not even vaguely smiling in fact.

And so I wait for this ever elusive refund form(*deep, slightly rage induced, asthmatic sigh). The sooner I can be done with ANY dealings with this completely inept company the better for the world at large.

Hence this delightfully quippy, ever so slightly verbose, email on Hello Peter. With companies like Amazon out there, who deliver in 2 weeks, it seems this company will be hard pressed to maintain business of any kind with these staggering levels of current incompetence.
