High prices LOW service value

10 September 2016: 5 of us went to Sevruga at 6pm for a friends birthday before we were going to the Cape Town Comedy Club (so we had somehwere to be by 7.30/8pm). We arrived and a waiter introduced himself (Christopher, I think) and we asked him to come back while we waited for 2 more people. The other 2 arrived 2 minutes later and then we waited... and waited... keep in mind that Sevruga's half price special ends at 7pm. And yes, we went especially for the special because quite frankly I would not visit Sevruga if it was not half price - and I think that is why they have the special for a certain time so people who can't afford the normal prices still have the opportunity to go. Anyway so we EVENTUALLY ordered our first round of drinks (6.20pm) and considering we only had about 40minutes left before the special ended, we ordered our 2nd round as we recieved our first round of drinks (which took about 10-15minutes) as well as our sushi (time approx 6.30/6.40pm). Then we waited... and waited.. and not only waited but also could not even see our waiter in site to try catch his attention. It was now after 7 (so we did not have the opportunity to order another round of half price ****tails) and we STILL had not received our drinks. My fiance went to the bar to try find our waiter and when he saw him, only then did he put through our order for our 2nd round of drinks (almost 30mins later - 7/7.10pm). While we were waiting for our drinks, we received our dim sum starters - which were incorrect. We ordered deep fried and got pan friend and the other couple ordered dairy-free dimsum (they are vegan) and received creamed spinach filling. We told the waiter and the manager came and offered something on the house (we did not oblige). We finally received our drinks at about 7.15 (45 minutes after we ordered them) and our sushi. The vegan couple's order was incorrect AGAIN. The waiter was unsure of the dishes and there was so much confusion, it was just a hassle to try and get the right order. Then to top it off (purely the principal and not about the money), we realised we actually had Entertainer vouchers for Sevruga so we thought we would redeem 2 to get 2 cheapest dishes off the bill. We told the waiter, he got the manager, who redeemed our entertainer vouchers and then we waited... about 5-10 minutes waiting to pay the bill (considering we were meeting people at 7.30/8 as it was a friends birthday). THEN another lady (not sure of her title) came and told us we cannot really use the entertainer as sushi is not a main (not stipulated anywhere) and that we would be losing out because we can come have a R500 meal for half the price. At that point I wanted to tell her that I would not be returning anyway so she mustn't even bother to reimburse our entertainer and if this was the case WHY did the manager not know and go ahead and redeem our voucher?????

I should also let you know, while we were waiting for our drinks, the table next to us also complained that they had been waiting 30minutes for their drinks.

Everyone knows Sevruga is an upmarket restaurant and with an upmarket restaurant comes expensive prices and in-turn you would DEFINITELY expect impecable service. And this was not case. We often go to Beluga and actually visited yesterday (the supposed brother/sister restaurant) but it's known that Beluga is slightly more casual but the service was outstanding - so from Sevruga ANYONE would expect the same if not better service.
