Seven Seas Move Cube: SA to UK

Service Used: Large Move Cube from Cape Town to UK.

Staff were helpful. Didn't have issues getting hold of someone on the phone from both SA & UK.

Cape Town delivery of cube was on time with friendly staff who advised while loading cube. We used a combination of double walled boxes from both Seven Seas and Redibox and also some strong plastic crates. We packaged our items carefully into boxes and crates using bubble wrap on the more fragile items. We filled any empty spaces with packaging to help prevent crushing. It's much easier if all of your boxes are labelled before the cube is delivered.

We already had an inventory document but each item had to be copied in to the Seven Seas system. This was quite time consuming and a bit clunky but did work fine. You also need to specify a value for each item on the inventory. However, you can opt out of insuring some or all items.

We had to complete a ToR1 (Transfer of Residence) form on the UK.gov website for customs clearance. This doc took 14 WD to process and also needed to be sent to Seven Seas 14 days before vessel arrival into UK. We had no customs issues.

We received an email update with vessel and ETA (estimated time of arrival) details once the shipment was loaded onto the vessel. We used the Vessel Finder website to track vessel progress.

The driver who delivered the cube was friendly and helpful and the cube was received exactly as we had packed it, in great condition. There were no breakages or missing items.

The lead time quoted was 64-78 days and our shipment was collected and delivered to our UK home in 74 days.

Our experience was very positive. We would definitely recommend using Seven Seas and would use them again in future.
