Bad Sevice from Seven Seas
We live in Cape Town and just established Seven Deas have sent our cube to Durban, although it was confirmed to Cape Town. Up to now a manager has not called us, although we requested a call from him\her. This is really bad service and will cause so many problems for us.

19 May 2021, 08:13Dear Stephen, you have not left any reference number to allow a review of your case or how we can assist. Your email address has shown a requested about storage in the UK for your MoveCube.
We operate our export and import hub in Johannesburg which is where we bring all shipments to be loaded into maritime containers. This allows us to provide a national coverage. Then we rail the container to either Cape Town or Durban. This means that despite collecting in one port city does not mean we export of that port city since we must look at the regularity of ship arriving and their transit time to ensure we keep within the quoted transit time we have promised you.
Shipping schedules have been severely disrupted during the various Covid-19 lockdowns.
We are sorry you are unhappy with our service but we do keep you informed about the progress of your shipment even if it is not something you expect, changes are done for the best of reasons.
Regards, Seven Seas Worldwide

19 May 2021, 09:40Reference is under my wife's name: Jacqueline Van der Valk and 000/388/956.
Since collection of our cube the ETA was on the tracking as Cape Town 20/5/21. When we checked for an update yeaterday the ETA had changed to Johannesburg 28/5/21. At no point were we advised of the change to Johannesburg - and on enquiring yessterday we were told our cube would only arrive in Cape Town on 16th June. We requested to speak to a manager - were told this woud happen but until now no one has called. We need clarity and need to know when our cube will arrive in Cape Town as 16th June is too late.

19 May 2021, 09:47Just to add, I can't understand the reason to send goods up to Johannesburg and then down to Cape Town. When our cube left Cape Town, was it sent up to Johannesburg? We didn't get that impression from the correspondence we had with Seven Seas.
I must state again we have worked our plans around the info from your system which originally stated the cube to arrive in CT 20 may and we would have it within days. Now we will experience serious problems due to this lateness and would like to know how you can resolve this issue.

19 May 2021, 11:49You are correct, Stephen, the main import hub is our Johannesburg depot, this increases the frequency of containers to South Africa, rather than waiting longer to build up the volume to individual ports. This is not a change but has always been the route. This is how we work.
Thank you for Job Reference, this is your second MoveCube order with us from the UK to South Africa. You loaded your MoveCube at our UK Hub on March 22.
Our quoted transit time is 73 - 89 days from that date, so you can expect your MoveCube to be returned to you between June 4th - June 20th, therefore June 16th is within the transit we gave you at the start of the order.
The only reason the dates would change is that your shipment had not be loaded on a ship, at which point we can give a much tighter ETA but as mentioned we are delivering within the period we quoted you at the start.

19 May 2021, 21:39Thanks for your reply. I note you quote your normal stanard delivery times without listening to your customer in terms of assisting to help. I am also in the shipping game and aware shipping time from the UK to SA is approx 30 days. This means with your standard delivery times you add 60 days to deliver to your customer. Clearly Seven seas are well covered in this time frame and I would like to understand if you atttempt to help your customers if there is a problem.
It's clear we did not understand your terms properly, but we find ourselves in a difficult postion in receiving our cube mid June.
I have my own business and have to continually make a plan for my customers when they have a problem. I would like to know if Seven Seas also try to make a plan if their customers' find themselves in a difficult position?
A further question - if our cube is not delivered by 16 June what recourse do we have?
