Avoid Seven Seas like the plague
Only after we booked and paid the deposit, were we told that Seven seas dont collect in our area. Not a problem we brought my mum's stuff up to my office and packed the goods there. Full amount was paid as per quote from Johannesburg to Glasgow. Delivery inspection is arranged in Glasgow, my mum (who is 75 waiting for a knee replacement and has scoliosis) is told that they will deliver to the bottom of the street and she must carry it up the hill to her house. She told the delivery man that its impossible and he told her he might be able to arrange her a wheel barrow!! Then comes another 250 GBP charge for clearing in london and delivery to Glasgow, which i paid on the first quote!. Mum was called yesterday and told they will deliver, to the bottom of the street, so she must arrange to get the goods up the road or clear the entire street between 2 - 5pm. What a sad joke Seven Seas is. I can tell you at the end of the year, i sure as hell will not be using this crowd.
There are several elements that are unclear, however, you are using our MoveCube service from South Africa to the United Kingdom. If you booked the service that is the service we can provide, it is not possible to book a service that we do not offer. The only exceptions would be that the address was entered incorrectly or we could not offer the day that you wished owing to the slots being already booked.
You have been charged exactly what we quoted there have been no additional charges invoiced.
The destination address is on a busy street where both sides of the road are fully parked and there is no driveway to pull into. We also have to work within the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 lockdown. You are correct that we offer a trolley to move the items but that is without charge. We are unable to enter the address, so additional assistance would be required but this is also stated on the quote.
We are attempting to assist your mother as much as we can under the circumstances.
