FURIOUS! APPALLING WORKMANSHIP AND POOR SERVICE

I recently purchased a freestanding Gas Electric Oven / Stove from Makro and was advised that the installation had to be done by a reccommended service provider in order to obtain a compliance certificate - Servisure was said service provider...

1 - The electrical installation: Instead of taking the time to open the electrical port at the back of the oven in order to create a seemless connection, cables were hacked and chopped, wrapped up with what appears to be an entire roll of insulation tape and the reall kicker here - THERE ARE STILL EXPOSED GROUND WIRES!!! (yes photos were taken) I do not believe for a second that there is an electrician alive that would issue a compliance certificate for this. Which brings into question the validity of any wireman's licenses / permits they have that actually allow them to enter people homes and perform these types of installations...

2 - Instead of checking or asking, the so called technicians took it upon themselves to mutilate my kitchen cupboard with a drill... Instead of drilling "ventilation" holes in the side of the unit where they would have neatly hidden away or easy enough to disguise with aluminium trim, they opted to drill 2 gaping holes in the front face / door... for some perspective, for 2 weeks everyday after 10 hours at the office, I would come home, sand, varnish, fit and measure to ensure the cabinets and my kitchen looked great. These guys walk in a decide to drill holes wherever they feel like it? As I would not trust anyone from Servisure to perform any kind of carpentry in my home and will now have to sort this out myself, will Servisure reimburse me for my time and the costs involved?

3 - Unnecessary removal of oven switch... Again, without permission or as much as a how do you do... technicians took it upon themselves to make a few calls in my home... There used to be a perfectly functional wall switch for my oven, they decided to remove said switch and replace it with a blank / standard metal cover. Now, this adds absolutely no value to the installation or makes any kind of difference. The only difference is that now instead of having a 3rd switch to cut / turn on the power - I only have 2, the oven itself and the mains board... In my opinion - this is a cheap trick, that most people will probably fall for, as they decided to add an extra R200 to the invoice...

Unfortunately for you Servisure - I work hard for my money and I have worked even harder to give my family a beautiful home... With that in mind, please do not think for one second that this ends with a rant on hellopeter... If this matter is not dealt with to my satisfaction, I will not hesitate to lay complaints with the relevant governing bodies and use every right I have under the CPA to ensure that the matter is dealt with... You should be ashamed for taking peoples money...

Big thank you to Servisure and Makro for resolving this promptly. I received multiple calls from both, they guys from Servisure came around at a time which was convenient for me and rectified the mistakes that were made on the initial installation. Well done!
