**********!!! Serenity Memorial Parks Ashburton KZN

I invested in buying shares from a high-end cemetery located in (Ashburton) KZN called Serenity Memorial Parks (https://serenitymp.co.za). They posted a fund-raising campaign through the Angel Investment Network (www.investmentnetwork.co.za) and after I completed basic background checking, I bought the shares. During lock-down I encountered some financial difficulties and got in touch with them requesting to dis-invest funds and after they had internal meetings, I received feedback from Jacques Surendorff (the Operations Manager) that the directors had met and agreed to let me dis-invest (August 2021).

One would have thought, the rest would then be an easy process to complete but to this day I still have not received payment. From the time of committing to pay, I received weekly commitments that they would pay which they did not honor. when I called to follow up, I was told about stumbling blocks in bank processes which made it difficult to pay which I patiently allowed them time to resolve (e.g.: the bank is not authorizing them to do transfers, which I waited the 48 hours and more for them to address bank processes). When time lapsed, I called some more to follow up and have moved from one commitment to pay not honored to another. My last call (unanswered) was 11 Sep 2021 where they promised to pay on that same day. It did not happen.

I tried calling to follow up thereafter, they are now NOT answering my calls despite constant promises to call me back which they never did. I attempted sending a text message with my concern that it is starting to appear that they do not have the intention to pay me, this was not responded to nor addressed. They have gone silent on me and my money not paid as promised. The previous email I had used to correspond with them does not seem to go through anymore (it bounces), they are fully aware that they committed to paying me and have not done so and are intentionally cutting of communication with me.

This is starting to appear like a ****, I would be wary of considering investing in these guys.
