Avoid Serenity hair and beauty

It was a Sunday and we had planed a get away suddenly and I could not get my nails done at my regular nail spot and after trying and trying I got an app from a salon I never knew before- Serenity beauty or Serenity hair and beauty not entirely sure what's the correct name.

I have been doing my nails forever, and I get them done in a timely manner as I have natural nails, and my nails are always well taken care of. To my surprise when I got to Serenity my nail journey all my hard work and care for my natural nails went out the door! I went in for a soak off and an overlay of gel or acrylic on my hands and gel on my toes and to my surprise the nail tech Mbali offered me a fill on a set that was already 1 month old and all professional salons that I know off and tried would never allow that to avoid mixing of 2 different products. She then persuades me into it saying it will be best she assured me it will be fine. Whilst filing my nails to prep for the fill she broke off 2 of my natural nails with her very rough filing. She also cut my skin. We were then forced to add on 2 tips which I got charged for at the end! She then proceeds to layer and layer and layer the acrylic on making an actual mountain on my fingers! I initially asked for her to please keep the layer very thin and natural as the nails I had since she had forced me into doing a fill. She files and files and files as it took forever to get them down from the mountain she built. When she was almost done I was shocked my nails looked awful I physically had to take the file to try make my nails look normal it did not work. I had no option as I had a flight to catch the next day and it being Sunday it was impossible to get an app. I see now why Serenity had an availability. She took forever with my nails I asked for nail art and she struggled she tried and tried it was a very simple design she could not do it. Time was running out at this point so I had to ask her not to do my feet. She then charges me for the fill and the 2 tips which she broke off. I paid and left. I have never ever felt so disappointed with my nails it was so ugly I could not even bare it on my hands it was an embarrassment. Fast forward the next day 70% of my nails were lifting. 3 days later a whole nail pops off on my bday! and the next few days 8 nails pops off leaving 2 behind. The nail that she had removed all the acrylic and added a tip got a fungus. I was completely shocked in all my hears of having my nails done this had never happend.

The salon staff were so unprofessional the hair lady sat next to mbali chatting away the whole time and scrolling on tik tok with get volume so high ... and the manager sat across also scrolling playing videos with her volume so high ! Is this really a professional place ??

I contacted the store on whatsapp and after the nonsense I heard I demanded to speak to a owner and the owner clive response was :My sincere apologies.

Like I said previously,we pride ourselves on the work that we put out there.

Mbali is a new employee with us. Although she has worked at other salons previously, we are still training her to do the work as we would.

I then went back to them to advise that this is not acceptable as my nail now as a fungus. Mbali called asked me what's the story with my nails ! I explain to her and I ask her what's the solution she says nothing so I cut the call!

I never wanted to go back from the time I left and I would never go back I hope this reaches all platforms so no one as to waste there money ! We do not pay full price for treatments done by trainers that's not acceptable!
