No Cash Available - Only Vouchers

I want to be clear upfront: SellYourIphone.co.za appears to be a legitimate business, and I have no doubt about that. The process started off really well — collection was prompt and professional, and when they evaluated my phone, they confirmed it was exactly as I had described on the form and agreed with the value I was quoted. No issues there.

However, my experience fell apart at the final hurdle. Despite the website clearly advertising cash payments, I was offered vouchers instead. This, in my view, constitutes false advertising. The whole reason I chose this platform over others was the promise of cash — that's a significant deciding factor for most sellers.

To their credit, when I declined the voucher offer, they returned my phone to me at no charge, which I appreciate. But the damage was done — my time was wasted and I walked away with nothing after going through the entire process in good faith.

If you're considering using this service, just be aware: make sure you clarify the payment method before handing over your device. If they've since updated their terms, great — but as it stands, the gap between what's advertised and what's offered at the end was enough to lose my trust entirely.
