Contractual non conformance

<p>We had paid a deposit for a house sometime ago. This was a sketchy feeling from the word go and Suzette from Selmore homes promised us that we are in safe hands. We waited a few weeks before getting feedback that the house had been sold to someone else and our offer to purchase had been declined.</p> <p> </p> <p>In our contract it states that should the offer to purchase be declined, then the deposit plus interest will be refunded within 10 working days.</p> <p> </p> <p>Our due date was the on 25/05/2017 as per clause 3 of the agent/purchaser agreement. We had no communication from the offices before the 26th of May 2017, which by we had to ask whats going on. They said that the financial department has a backlog with regards to payments and we will will receive proof of payments on Monday.</p> <p> </p> <p>We cannot get through to any one of them at their offices, nor are they responding to our emails. We had to pay interest for the second time due to this delay and yet have we gotten response.</p> <p> </p> <p>This is really unacceptable, and alot of money that we now have to wait for due to the lack of response and service.
