Where is integrity with SellDirect?

The contract phone has been faulty from day 1 of delivery was taken in for repairs. The phone was delivered back to me and I was informed that it was exchanged and I saw that based on the serial numbers I believed it. To my surprise when I arrived to open the plastic and the box, the seal of the cellphone box was broken. Why is the seal broken. Why was the phone opened if it was new? How can I be certain that SellDirect did not take the phone that was in for repairs only to give to me? If possible, can I receive a phone with a different color, in a sealed box and we can all be sure that it is a brand new phone as the forms serial numbers indicate.

Thank you for updating us on your query.

Please note while it is true that the unit was faulty upon delivery, you never contacted Selldirect Marketing to report the unit as faulty - you called Telkom's customer care and by the time you made contact with SDM your unit no longer met the Out of Box failure requirements outlined in your read me first booklet.

The unit was booked in for repairs as is procedure when the fault is reported outside the first 7 days of delivery, the unit was assessed by the repair centre which deemed the fault beyond repair and a replacement unit was issued by the repair centre. This was done at the prerogative of the repair centre based on a criteria established by the repair centre.

The new unit is not part of Selldirect Marketing Stock and as such we are unable to swap it out for you.

Kind Regards,

SDM Team

Reviewer Update
You are saying the unit was assessed by the repair centre which deemed the fault beyond repair and a replacement unit was issued by the repair centre, whose phone is this? Is it an old phone that was faulty from another customer? This was done at the prerogative of the repair centre based on a criteria established by the repair centre. Does it mean you no longer take any responsibility whatsoever for the product that you sold to me? How sad. The new unit is not part of Selldirect Marketing Stock and as such we are unable to swap it out for you.
