Selldirect is nonsense

I cancelled a contract I took telephonically, I spoke to a sell direct manager (hope I got the company’s name correct) by the name of Randall Muller. First debit went through I sent an email to ask why I was then told a story and that it is being actioned and I will not be billed. Then month-end October comes again I get debited the same amount luckily I instructed my bank to not let R434 go through just the R299 hence the rejection, there was enough funds for the R299 go through. I am working from home and need data. What I do not understand is if I owe R434 why does a double debit get generated including an additional R200 on top of that to be debited on a debit order date I never agreed to. Nobody from Telkom even bothered calling to strike an arrangement or to find out what had happened if my debit order date is 25 every month why do Telkom process on a non-debit order date. I want all my accounts cancelled including cellphone contracts, you can come get your cellphone devices, I am up for renewal and I will take my services through to Vodacom and Rain. I do not want anything to do with Telkom this for me is a breach of contract well at least an unfair business practise, why do you conveniently debit 50% 25 Nov 2020 but debit Full amount on 15 Nov 2020? Does this make sense and do not answer based on your processes or jargon within your professional field. As a customer fair business practise is to contact and arrange with the client on a debit order that will run through their account again and to ensure that there are funds you Telkom do not send any notification of the sort just my account is suspended etc etc no nothing of call for arrangements and this is all due to your sell direct office. I was billed R175 for the return debit order now I have to pay for that no man that is a lot of money to me and to Telkom and their lawyers it probably is nothing not even small change.

Please terminate all contracts, I will move on over to Vodacom. Since after 4 Nov Randall stopped emailing does not bother calling back either. He is just one terrible manager.

Thank you for advising us of your query.

We received your cancellation request within the cooling off period. The matter was escalated with our cancellations department and upon receipt of the unit, cancellation was sent to Telkom to resolve.

There was a delay in processing the cancellation however we managed to get this resolved and a case to correct your bill has been logged.

Please accept our sincerest apologies for the delay in resolution.

Kind Regards,
SDM Team
