Disgusting service

I've never in my enture life experience such horrible service I purchased a phone for my son I by accidentally locked the phone I contacted the call Centre an agent told me a I must take it to Pakistan shops to be unlocked i told the guy I can't pay for that service. Following day took the phone to Telkom stores no could unlock the phone or reset it. Called again I received different stories from everyone attitudes and empty promises until I spoke to John eventually they fetched the phone it took them 1 month to sort it out I got the phone today. After all the follow ups and everything I was told I must pay R399 for repairs or if I don't accept the quote I will be liable for handling fee of R189. No one told me the phone has been handed to a 3rd party and I will be liable for payment and my phone was deemed out of warranty without my concent. Because the manager told me it was my negligence that I forgot password which is my son's name and date of birth, who can forget that what nonsense is that? Is this how you treat your customers I won't reccomend them to anyone I have everyone's names written down that I spoke to and not one of them was able to help me a manager or director needs to contact me to explain why nobody was able to help me whoever is reading this and was thinking about taking a phone with them please don't they are ******. On top of that I spoke to supervisor Portia 18 Feb 2022 requesting my contract still haven't received it till today but she told me it takes 24 hours.

Thank you for advising us of your query.

Delivery of the unit took place on 31.01.22 and you called in to report the fault on 02.02.22 which is within the OBF period.

You were advised that because you received the unit fully functional and the password was set and forgotten on your end that we could not process this as an out of box failure because the fault was caused by the client.

The matter was escalated with a consultant to assist with troubleshooting and when those attempts failed, you were advised that the unit would be booked in as a repair.

Upon assessment at the warehouse it was determined that the technician would need to void the warranty on the unit in order to successfully reset the password.

At this stage you received email confirmation from the repair centre requesting R399 to proceed with the repair.

You were advised when you called in that if you reject the quote then you will be liable for the job handling fee as the technician had to assess the work.

Please also note that all call recordings were sent to you on 18.02.22 and again on 09.03.22 and finally on 12.03.22.

Please check either your junk email or your spam folder.

Kind Regards,
SDM Team
