10 day rule, i do not want the cellphone anymore
selldirect made a call to me a while ago selling a cellphone to me.i asked if the cellphone is similar to the one i have which is a samsung galaxy, they said no its a sony. i asked if they cant give me a huai they said its out of stock and i said its ok if the sony doesnt have silimar features as the samsung, they said no its more advance and its a 7nch. a month later they deliver a similar cellphone. and the contract says if its less than 30 days you can return the goods provided it is in the same condition and provided you pay for the courier which is R200.00.i just called them spoke to Roxanne who says i have to pay 2169 for a sony experia because its a retail price. to my surprise a sony experia is only R1199 in other shops.

You are indeed within your cooling off period, however because the phone box is open and the handset might be used we have asked that you provide us with pictures of the phone box and we will ask the network to confirm that there is no usage on the device. Should both conditions be satisfied, we will then move forward with cancellation and collection of the device.
If not, as per the CPA, you will be held liable for the full cost of the handset as the device would have been used and SDM would then not be able to recover the loss.
We will keep you apprised of the status of your query.
