Dishonourable Service

Enquired about 2011 X5 3.0d with trade-in. Handre Smith contacted me. Gave him details of vehicle to be traded.<br> Sent him pictures. He came back with a trade-in figure SUBJECT to buyer seeing and driving the trade-in.<br> Agreed I would come to the Strand to show trade-in and see and test-drive the X5.<br> Thursday 26th Nov received call from Mr Smith saying someone was interested in X5. Explained that I was 95% certain I would take the vehicle, but could come down from Garden Route on Friday 27th. He said no he would cancel the other party as they were being difficult. Agreed I would come down Monday 30th Nov.<br> Got registration papers, transfer documents etc, transferred money from investment accounts and set off for the Cape. Sent an SMS to confirm en route to Selfords. About 50 min later got SMS - OK just to let you know X5 is gone!!!<br> Phoned Mr Smith - really sorry, feels bad?? Told him we had agreement for Monday and he didn't stick to it!!<br> Apologised - \but what was I supposed to do?"<br> SIMPLE - tell the other party someone has an option until Monday!<br> Disgusting"
