Useless medical aid
Worst option as a medical aid.Please stay away. I am on the Selfnet option-you are ONLY covered in hospital for PMB conditions. Furthermore only medications that are on a formulary are covered-NOTE TO YOU-Doctors do not have the time to check whether the meds are on a formulary. So in essence people-you are covered for NOTHING. Only GP visits (if your condition is not excluded). Something as simple as birth control is not even covered -it has to be on the formulary. Is there anything that you do cover? What a complete mess. Nevermind the Carecross network -the consultants don't even know what is going on around them. Every time you phone they have different versions...You basically pay over R1000 every month for nothing.STAY AWAY. Signing up with Discovery today. You are misleading consumers.
