This medical aid is a *******
I am having the worst service ever from a medical aid. They do not explain anything to you when you take the medical aid, Once you have a Hospital emergency it does not get paid because it is not a pmb condition, They never explained to me how this stupid medical aid works but they love taking your money every single month, I have received accounts back from the hospital , Radiology doctors etc... of over R9000 , And now again after i phoned and asked the medical aid if they cover a certain code and the said yes it is once again not paid and there excuse is we did not have a auth number and once again that was not told to me when i phoned and asked, Apparently if you go to a GP the xray's would have been paid but because my son was sent by a pediatrician it will not get payed, Please do not take out this medical aid they take you for a fool and leave you in debt

With reference to your complaint, please note the Scheme’s response. Each benefit option is uniquely structured and the benefits that a member is entitled to is directly related to the level of the plan and therefore the monthly contribution. The Selfnet option is a network option that provides hospital cover for PMB conditions and limited out of hospital primary care.
The Scheme has requested Carecross to process the Radiology account from your out of network benefit.
An Expert from the Excellence Centre will liaise with you further on this matter.
