I pay alot for medical aid.. But had to go sit in a goverment hospital in gauteng!!!! Why do i pay medical aid.. You pay for a voluntarily ******** with is a choice. You pay for alcoholic rehab and help which is also a choice if you want to be a drunk! My child didnt choose to have tonsillitis and that severe that he couldn't eat!!! Or drink.. And became dehydrated. That is with another infection that the blood showed. My wife cried for 4days everyday... Disappointed in my medical aid which is the worst i've seen! My wife didnt use her medical aid once.. Today she had to go see a dr she has brongites and respiratory infection... I had to take R700 out to get her to a dr.. Why do i pay you? I want my money back!

The Scheme regrets your frustration that you have experienced and am sorry that you had to contact us with a complaint. By selecting a specific option, you choose a set of pre-designed package of benefits. The benefits that a member is entitled to is directly related to the level of the plan and therefore the monthly contribution.

The Selfnet Network option provides hospital cover for PMB's and limited out of hospital primary care. Out-patient treatment at a hospital facility is covered up to a limit of R1 000 per year and is first payable by the member and then claimable from the Network.

While we fully understand your position, the Scheme can only provide benefits as per your chosen option.
