Hi, my Daughter, Cornelia Flink, is the owner of 118 Smithfields, Bass Road,Boksburg. The managing agents are Selection estates. On 28 August 2024, I emailed an urgent request regarding the geyser stop valve on the outside of the flat streaming water and not wanting to close, even if set to close. It took Selection estates 8 days to repair the valve (2nd September) to repair same. My electricity, water and sewerage was because thereof:
DATE WATER SEWERAGE ELECTRICITY 1/8 - 31-8 R1 332.06 R540.27 R2824.64 1/9 - 30/9 R564.3 R389.81 R1390.48
On Friday, 18 October I again emailed Taylor about a pool gate which is broken. i received a reply that the problem will be brought to the attention of the trustees. I phoned and spoke to Taylor on Friday 15 November (a whole month later) to follow up on the gate and was again told that the trustees have to give permission to have ANY repairs done. needless to say, NOTHING has been done yet. Smithfields has a large amount of children residing there, and the school holidays are on hand. Must a child drown before the necessary repairs are done? Who is to blame for the lack of interest? The estate agent, or the Trustees?
