Terrible service and workmanship. Do not use these people!

Buying a driveway gate from security experts has been the worst decision we've made recently. The service is appalling, the workmanship is subpar and you'd be lucky to get what you pay for.

We bought the gate, which was more expensive than other providers with the expectation that the workmanship and service would be better. This was the promise of their sales person (Stuart). But once he made the sale he was nowhere to be seen or heard from again. This has not been the case for the following reasons:
1. Gate was not built to spec, the pedestrian gate was on the wrong side! (how does a company that does this on a daily basis mess that up). We wrote it on the quote and I called them to confirm that the gate would be built as per the quote. They assured me it would be.

2. The guys came to do a 2 day job at 12:30 and they promised that they would be done that day. They obviously didn't finish and inconvenienced us hugely as we had prior engagements which we had to be late for as a result. The guys worked until 8pm and nearly left us without a gate that day. Clearly no concern for their customer's safety or time.

3. The guys pulled the old gate off and damaged it so badly that they couldn't get it back on correctly and so we've been using an almost falling over gate on manual for the last week while the new gate was being renovated.

4. The 2nd time the guys came to install the corrected gate, they again only arrived at 12:30 (as they had a callout on the day that was clearly more important that sorting out their mistakes) and yet again were not able to finish the job because they didn't have enough paint, time and knowledge about the motor. (security experts? No hassle? Please, not even close).

5. We were promised that they would complete the job on the second round but were again let down and inconvenienced.

6. We bought the gate with wireless sensors but wired sensors were installed instead. (again, how does a company that does this every day mess that up!??)

7. Not once has security experts contacted me to confirm times for installation. I've had to call every time. They even rocked up at my home and called me to say no one was opening for them. Really!? The stupidity is just unfathomable.

8. I'm now waiting for the guys to get here for the 3rd time to finish the job and I have not received a call or anything and it is already 10am. I doubt they are even coming to complete the job today, which means we must go another week without a working gate.

9. The gate has been installed in such a way that there is a big gap between the wall and the gate. So someone could slip through. (do you call that security or excellent workmanship, I think not)

10. The pedestrian gate has been built in such a way that the lock is not fully secure.

11. They have not installed the anti-lift mechanism, which was promised as standard by the salesman.

12. Not once has anyone apologised for this or made it a priority to correct the situation. All I've received is people dodging my calls, they are absolute ***ards.

I sincerely hope that someone contacts me to discuss the above and to have my gate installed properly and speedily but evidence has shown that they really don't care once the sale is made and there is NO aftersales service, don't let them fool you. This company is an absolute disgrace and I recommend you don't touch them for any work as you'll only be disappointed, inconvenienced and end up with an inferior product, if you even get what you originally paid for. Their prices are higher than their competitors too so just go with someone else.
