Most Pathetic service i have experienced

Dear Herm**** JP van Niekerk, CEO & Principle Shareholder

Are you proud of the service your company provides???

Here is my experience...

In the beginning of January I decided to put in a carport as an entertainment enclosure for my house for a function I was having in 2 weeks

I did my research on the internet and one company kept on appearing on the search results was security Experts in Alrode Johannesburg.

I made the appointment and the sales rep was there in a flash, took the specifications and specific requirements I had.

I mentioned to him that I need the carport done within 2 weeks, he mentioned that this was not a problem, I should put in the deposit and they will get cracking on the job.

This was done on-site at my house, via a mobile credit card machine, I was impressed, if they was so efficient this was going to be a good experience

How wrong was I, they proved only to be efficient when they were collecting money.

From that point, I constantly contacted Security experts on when they will do the installation, I got a host of excuses;

· First they did not have the colour our I chose

· Then contradicting themselves, the supplier was still closed (why commit to install the carport in the timeframe I provided?)

· Then it was raining too much

· The they colour chose was not the colour I requested (I proved the contrary)

· Then they were fully booked

The installation was finally done on the 23rd Feb (the appointment was 22nd, no call to inform me that they only will come on the 23rd).

The first rain, within 2 weeks of the installation, revealed leaks from the gutters and from the structure in general.

I have been calling Security experts for 5 weeks in a row, and they still have not repaired, and the fami**** excuses mentioned above prevail.

I have spent a lot of time, energy and money on Security experts, calling, emailing, texting, WhatsApp ….

It’s about time I let the consumers out there know of the deep trap behind the marketing and “specials” from Security experts… a lengthy and painful customer experience

Herm**** JP van Niekerk … Put this on your testimonial page !

Surprise Surprise,
After posting on Hellopeter I finally get a response from Security Experts.
Apologies if this may sound like a Shakespearean tragedy but I really hate bad service and the audacity of some companies
I first got a call from the sales guy (Steward) who advises me that he can fix the problem tomorrow (finally !) as long as it’s not raining, but there is a TWIST…
I must also go onto Hellopeter and reverse the bad publicity
So I ask him, since when does he have a right to dictate to me what I can say? Does it all become better just because they finally
came back to me after 5 + weeks with what should have been resolved after the installation?
His response ? Do you want me to fix the problem ?
I respond, yes,
he says, will you revert the complaint,
I say… that’s
Needless to say that that conversation did not end well.
5 minutes later I get a call from Angeline, the General Manager at Security experts, asking me the same question,
Can they come fix the problem tomorrow ?
I say yes, and ask her whether she is aware that the sales guy from their company asked the same and had the cheek to also to ask me to reverse my hellopeter complaint
She says that she heard a different view.
Turns she harbours the same view
I ask, since when do their company infringe on my right as a consumer to complain, since when do they forge my response ?
Since when do they have a right to mask from the consumer community a legitimate view of a client’s comment on their service?
Her response, the bad publicly will impact their business
I say.. you should have thought about that when you gave bad service, from installation, to post installation… and leave your customers hanging…
Needless to say that that conversation did not end well.
Finally got a call from the CEO, Herm**** JP van Niekerk
His response, just calling me to say that all they wanted was a nice comment (duh), he does not like my ****ty [SIC] attitude and hung up
So now I understand their customer service culture ….

Hello Nimesh,
As we explained to you numerous times regarding the delays we experienced from our suppliers, weather conditions, delays on previous installations, etc. We were working the whole of December whilst our suppliers were closed; they opened after the 16th January and had to deal with all of the back logs from December, we only received this information when they opened, which was communicated with you. As for the rain – we do not control the weather – we pray for it, but at night, so that we can still work during the day – as we are a business and in business to make money – we need to do work/installations to achieve that.
We confirmed with you this week that we will be sending a team out to repair the leaks you have been experiencing, this morning we contact you to inform you about the bad weather conditions, as you cannot apply roof sealer when it in raining as it will just wash away, making it pointless. We also confirmed that we will still be sending someone out next week due to the weather.
You jumped the gun and went to HelloPeter to report this – we contacted you and told you we will send someone tomorrow to seal your roof, Stewarts asked you when we are done just to reply to HelloPeter and also report that it was sorted out. Since it is a Family business, every negative report hurts our business, we have no issue to sort a customer out, but we would also prefer if you can go back on the page to tell the world that you have been sorted out.
But due to insults, attacks and un-cooperative attitude and bullying tone, we regretfully decline to provide you with any further service.
Regards,
Angeline van Niekerk

Angeline,
I do not agree with your response, it is factually incorrect
Firstly, it was last week Monday that I was told that security experts have scheduled to fix the job in the week, and as usual Security experts did not keep up to their word or bother to communicate to me.
Furthermore, the debacle on the installation of the carport, the agreement was it would be erected in the 2 weeks.
If you had such challenges you should have communicated that and I would have got the job done somewhere else. You could not keep up with your commitment, even you agreed to that !
Some response to your comments :
“You jumped the gun and went to HelloPeter to report this”
A Six week delay in the installation and a 6 week delay in the repair of the carport and I “jumped” the gun ????
my response : In all due respect, I should have done hellopeter much earlier, Security Experts only responded after the helloperter complaint, and I could have avoided the impasse and frustration I experienced over the last few months
“But due to insults, attacks and un-cooperative attitude and bullying tone”
My commnet : If calling you every week to get feedback, expressing my dissatisfaction with your service and not yielding to your instance on retracting the bad service you provided is
what you are referring to… those are all in my right… however you choice of words and language is very defensive, its Security Experts that provided the bad service and put the
customer in a predicament
“we regretfully decline to provide you with any further service”
My comment : What I read here is that you will not fix the shoddy job you did (future clients should note this)…
As for ”service” it is an oxy***** here
:( Not a satisfied customer
:( Fully paid for services but did not get what I paid for
:( Could have got the job done if just went with security services and “reversed the bad publicity” on hellopeter even though I did not agree with that
:) But worth it… It is through the forum like hellopeter that the South African consumer community can learn about bad customer services from the likes of Security services and make better choices
Signing off…
