Breach of contract

<p>I developed an underfloor leak at my premises. I contacted Lana Coetzee at Securealeak who advised that for an advance fee of R1400 they would " detect the leak, give a report and quote for the repair ". Arno arrived the next day but could not identify the source of the leak. Despite the leak obviously being related to a water feed pipe (as opposed to a waste pipe ) Arno did not use the gas water leak detection method, probably because they don't have this equipment, and instead only used infra red photography. Based on this, I was told that a basin waste pipe was the problem and quoted a substantial amount of money to repair same. It was patently obvious that the waste pipe was not the problem so I declined the quote and called in a second contractor who bypassed certain plumbing nowhere near the aleged leak suggested by Securealeak. This solved the problem.</p> <p>In my opinion Securealeak failed in their mandate to " detect the leak" and I asked for at least a part refund. This was simply met with much ducking and diving by Lana Coetzee.</p> <p>DO NOT PAY THIS COMPANY UNTIL THEY HAVE DELIVERED THE SERVICES PROMISED.</p>
