Clearance certificate being held hostage

It's been 6 months since I paid up all my debt and the clearance certificate was never sent. I have sent countless emails trying to get this resolved but it's just delay tactic after delay tactic. 1st they tell me I did not pay ABSA VAF, and I resend them the paid up letter sent in March already. Then they say there is still an outstanding payment on a credit card, and I explain to them I never had a credit card.

Each time I have to follow up, I get no correspondence when these issues come up (ie. ABSA / credit card). And yet I am still waiting for someone to call me or just send me my clearance certificate as this is affecting me from getting a job and 6 months is absolutely too long to wait for an update?
