Distasteful experience
Booked the Resort's 3 bedroom 6 adult sleeper for a week duration. We arrived as 4 adults and 3 children ages(4,4&6) around 8:30pm Friday 4 Sept 2020. We were informed we over the limit and that kids counted as adults even though the 3 kids(4,4&6) could take up the 3rd bedroom. We were informed if we wanted to stay at the Resort we'd need to pay R500 a night for the extra child and that should we chose not to, the extra person must leave by 10am in the morning. We had arrived for my daughter's 5 birthday that Saturday 5 Sept 2020. Was told if I wanted to remain for the birthday I'd have to pay another R500 as we were not allowed to stay together at the Resort at all even during the day. Manager was very condescending, didn't even introduce himself. Came in at 9:30am to inform us of the rules and that we had 30minutes to pay or leave as it was almost 10am. Mind you we are a family that drove for 2hours to get to the Resort...Honestly the situation could've been handled better. Covid is not an excuse to exploit people. FYI I booked clients even at Wild Coast Sun this weekend without an issue with children. The Resort has left a distasteful experience. The most I've ever been charged for a child was R150 a night at Kruger Park which is a 5 star Resort, R100 at Oceanic and other Resorts of similar status. The rudeness of the Resort Property Manager honestly just got to us more than anything. Definitely never booking into this place nor booking for my clients. I've informed friends that were going to come in October to the Resort of our experience and they opted to book at another Resort in the Coast. This Resort is anti-children,is how we feel..
