Same bras on temu
I ordered 2 bras online by scupltsa for R1120. After ordering the bras, another add, the exact bra i just ordered, popped up on temu (4 for R200). So i asked them about this, they said their bras were not from temu, but when i compare the advertising videos and pictures on sculptsa's page versus those on temu, the exact videos and models are used for these products. Unfortunately i had already purchased the bras. However once they arrived and when looking at the product in person and on photos in comparison to those on temu, i can tell you it is the same product. Now sculpt sa vehemently denies that they dont buy from temu, but i dont believe them. At the very least they buy from the same supplier then, rebrand the product and then sell it 1100% markup price. How is that fair or legal?
Additionally, they advertised very stretchy bras that would mould your bust area and provide lift...I ordered according to their sizing on the website and when i received my bra, it didn't fit as was advertised, it wasn't as stretchy as they indicated and it actually flattened my bust instead of lifting it. Also the scuplt sa 'tag' that was ironed over the original tag, which said 'made in china', i could see these details when putting a flashlight underneath the tagged area and could read the writing.
They reached out ot me after seeing i left some scathing reviews on their website and offered to send me 'a new and improved version' of the same bra, one that they had 'lovingly developed with their supplier', they would carry the courier costs, and then after i was happy they would courier the original two bras i ordered back (the ones that didnt fit). They asked me about the sizing and i told them that the prior bras i received were too small, so we sized up by ONE size with these 'new and improved' bras. After the new bras arrived, i tried it on and again it did not fit. It was now waaaay too big and provided me with no support and i was using it on the SMALLEST setting (please be reminded i only upsized by ONE size).
After a few days of thinking about whether or not i could settle with being cheated out of over a R1000 on bras i suspected came straight from temu, i sent an email back to the lady asking instead for a refund, i would send her back all 4 of the bras and request my money returned to me. I wasn't ugly, i said thank you and kindly asked for a refund. The lady flat out refused and actually went on to say that my original order was delivered to me on the 6th of November and i could not return it as it was already outside of their return period. I ONLY RECEIVED THE ORIGINAL TWO BRAS ON THE 6TH, and apparently this was the cut-off date for a refund. They also offered to let me try on a different version and style, which i did think was nice, but i wasn't happy with that version or style either. How do you have such a ridiculous return policy, especially when you sell products for that price online? They don't even take into the fact how long the product takes to be delivered, so that by the time you receive it you cannot ask for a refund. I told them their business model is shameful, and the person on the other line said they would not talk to me any further as my language was defamatory. Please shameful is not defamatory, i honestly could have said a lot worse. i still have two extra bras and i did tell them to let me know when the courier would come and collect these two 'extra' bras that i have. I haven't heard back from the person.
I really do think their business model is shameful and ontop of that there are so many negative reviews on their page (although i wrote a review on their page and it is missing, so im not even sure if the amount of negative reviews is actually reflective of peoples views). I am disappointed and i feel cheated. i now have 4 bras in my possession, all of which do not fit (too small or too big) and a company that will not take the products back and provide me with a refund. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I would like to post my version of events- that can be backed by emails and proof of delivery.
On 26 October, you placed an order on our store for 2 bras. Your item was dispatched on 31 October and delivered to you on 06 November.
Upon receiving your product, you posted several comments on our Facebook page. Our social media team alerted me that you were upset and explained your concerns. Your comments made it clear that you were genuinely unhappy, and we understood that. For this reason, I personally made contact with you. I acknowledged how you were feeling and stated that I wanted to step in and help clear up any misunderstandings.
In that email, I specifically stated that I reached out “not to stop the comments, but because as a customer myself, I know what it feels like to be disappointed or feel unheard.”
In that same email, I explained in detail that we are a small business, that local manufacturers require very high minimum order quantities (MOQs), and that this is why we work with manufacturers from other countries. I also clearly explained to you that our items are NOT from Temu.
I further explained that the particular bra you ordered was not my personal favourite, but it had received positive feedback from many customers and we only stop an item if the complaint to compliment ratio is high. Since customers loved the item, there was no reason to discontinue and let's be real: why would any company discontinue an item that is selling well and loved by customers?
Since it boiled down to my personal take on the item I explained that I decided to work with our manufacturer to develop an improved version of the product. I offered to send you 2 of those new bras completely at company cost. I even explained the various costs that contribute to the final pricing of our items.
You responded asking for the difference between the original version and the new version. I explained that:
“Thank you, that would be great. Please let's move forward with the exchange.”
On 14 November, I emailed you informing you that I was unwell and that I would send out the items as soon as they were ready. There was no response from you.
On 21 November, your new order was sent from our warehouse.
You received the bras on 26 November.
On 08 December, you emailed me stating that you were not happy with the new bras either and that you wanted to send all 4 bras back for a refund.
In my response, I told you I was surprised to hear from you. I was surprised because I knew you had received the items but had not contacted me after delivery, so I assumed everything was fine. I also clearly stated that:

TEMU CLAIM
You claim that after purchasing the items, you saw an advert on Temu.
Why did you not send us an email which would allow us to clarify this?
Why did you not request to cancel your order if you preferred Temu?
Your order was dispatched 5 days after you placed it, meaning you had enough time to contact us if you had concerns.
Despite me explaining this in detail, you continue to repeat the accusation that our items are from Temu.
We actually went ahead and purchased the Temu look-alike, and we can confirm that:
Our sizing runs from M–4XL.
The differences are evident in person.
The personal import threshold in South Africa is R150,000 per calendar year. Having serviced over 25,000 South Africans and counting, it would be impossible and ******* for us to import our stock through Temu as personal imports.
Just because an item looks similar does NOT mean it is the same product.
We even had Temu bidding on our product names, which raises the opposite question; what makes you think they are not copying established products?
I personally found identical-looking dresses from major retail stores on Temu. Does that mean those well-known stores buy from Temu or SHEIN?
SIZING CLAIM
You stated:
“Please be reminded I only upsized by ONE size.”
In my email, I specifically stated that the item runs larger.
You chose the size; not me.

For this exact reason, we discontinued refunds on intimate wear, because customers would use the items freely and attempt to return them later, which is not hygienic, legal, or fair to other customers.

That is 5 business days for processing and 3 business days for courier delivery, which is well within our published delivery timelines. Couriers do not operate on weekends. Nothing about this timeline is unreasonable.

10 Dec 2025, 08:32Hi, I did not ask for a refund for all 4 bras. I asked to return all 4 bras and get a refund for the purchase that i did make of the 2 original bras. In addition, why can i return a bra at a retail store, but you do not want me to return the bras that i have in my possession? Originally you were willing to provide the exchange for the 2 original bras i received, and the original deal was that if the new bras fit then you would send a courier to pick up the original two bras for them to be returned to you? What is the difference now? Why is it only now unhygienic?
