missleading poor public
30 December 2014 i went to scorpion office to seek legal advice and assistence but was told they are paralegal and only write letters. I was also told that the manager will only be back from leave in January to look into the matter and still waiting even now. 2011 i went to scorpion to ask them to help me to get a letter of authority for my late Father who was a member but they failed to assist and ended paying about R3000 to the independent lawyer who did diligent work. The adverti*****t on media about the toughest lawyers are false and the only trueth is monthly deduction of premiums.

We have checked our records and we can't find any details about the discussions you are referring to in your complaint. As discussed telephonically you will meet with our regional manager, Mr Daruis Molobi to discuss your matters in detail to see how we can help.
In brief, here is how we work:
Firstly we offer our members a legal insurance policy that pays their legal fees in Civil, labour, ******** and administrative matters. Independent attorneys are used and our members can select lawyers on our panel or even their own lawyer if they wish. Exclusions do exist in order to keep premiums affordable. The most frequently encountered exclusion is matters that happened before you joined Scorpion.
In the event that a matter is not covered we still try to assist our members on a para-legal basis as far as we can, and we can often solve matters without court intervention. But if the matter requires a practising attorney to take the matter to court, then the client must pay the fees him/herself if the matter is not covered.
Mr Molobi will elaborate further when you meet with him.
