Another Let Down!
<p>Have built my mother a house that I have done by my own as the breadwinner, and put it in her name because it's for her. Started from buying the land and alas, one contractor didn't finish the job and moreover ran away with some of my money. Approached Scorpion and was given conflicting statements then was literally told I can't be helped because I don't reside there not am I an owner even though I have filled financial interest in the project. Long syory short, it's been two months and I haven't received any feedback in the last month! Paying for nothing it seems, when you need them they're no where to be found. </p>

We conform that Ms Stephanie Nagoor and Ms Maleshnee Pillay of our Contracts Specialist Department have both contacted you regarding this complaint and have discussed this with you in full detail.
As discussed, we advised you that:
- The matter you reported to us is not covered by your policy since you do not have a direct interest in the property which forms the basis of the dispute. In other words, the contract you refer to was to revamp your mother’s house and not your own house.
- With this in mind, we cannot give you a lawyer to take this matter to court on your behalf as your mother is not a member of Scorpion.
- However, be that as it may, our in-house legal advisors are continuing to engage with the Defendant on your behalf in order to seek an amicable solution.
- Should these efforts not bear positive outcome, we have advised you that you may proceed and hire a private attorney to take the matter to court on your mother’s behalf.
