S******s Garsfontein false advertising

<p>On Sunday the 8th of May at 19:31 (as per till slip) we ordered a large pizza from S******s Garsfontein for delivery. At 20:07 (36 minutes later), I called again to enquire about the delivery and the lady asured me it will be there in the next 5 minutes. Checking the pamflet again (which we took at the Garsfontein S******s store) we confirmed that it stated 39 minutes delivery or it's free. 5 minutes late is still acceptable and I would not mind that, but at 20:23 (now 52 minutes later), I called again as there was still no pizza, and the lady again said that it will be there shortly... At 20:29 (58 minutes later), the driver finally rang the gate bell... and we stated that it is now almost an hour so the pizza should be free, and the driver said that he was not aware of that as he was only helping out.</p> <p>We again phoned the store to explain that the pamflet stated 39 minutes or it's free and she said no, head office makes the policies and it does not apply to them, which we said does not make sense as all the branches should have the same policy if head office implements such a policy and then they should not have it on their pamflet as that is false advertising. After some discussion and seeing whe are not getting anywhere, we paid for the pizza... but S******s should really get their act together, and either decide to remove the promise of fast delivery or it's free (which they in any case do not intend to keep) or make sure the branches adhere to the advertised promised.</p> <p>I for one will not support them again if this is the attitude you get...</p>
