Scoot - Just don't even consider it

Last week I decided to try a new food delivery website as Uber Eats had no drivers available. I then came across what I would later find out to be the single worst company I've ever dealt with - and therefor I decided to leave my first review here.

Last week I ordered at 11:47 and it said my food would arrive by 12:30 - perfect as my lunchbreak ends at 13:00. The map on the website showed no movement until 12:45, and my food only got delivered at 13:10 which was already after my lunchbreak. Further, the driver's car was NOT roadworthy, The entire front and drivers side was smashed (I took a photo of this). The driver was also not professional and didn't wear a mask while handing over my food and did not ask my name (anyone could've received the food) and my food was obviously cold.

Today, (I know, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I should not have ordered again but gave it another chance.) at 12:35 I received a message that my order has arrived I walked out of my office to collect. I was at the gate and at 12:37 I received an sms stating "thank you for ordering with us" but I never received my food. Obviously, as their drivers don't ask for any details, they just gave it to the first guy beside the road.

I contacted support and a guy named Aiden "assisted" me. For today's order he said "We cannot be held liable if the customer does not meet the driver on location Darnell. The driver waited at the advised spot as per instruction."

I thought this was a joke, but I realised that I would not get a refund. I told him about the first incident as well and his reply was even worse.

Anyway, do yourself a favour and never ever order from scoot.co.za
