Scion Shop Mandela Coins a waste of your money

Dont buy from this company !!! They sell you Gold & Other Coins that have no value other than the value of the Gold or Silver they contain. You end up paying a premium becasue it's a Mandela coin and you are told what a fantasic investment it is.

I paid R 5000 for a 1/10 oz Nelson Mandela Coin in 2012 and was told the value would skyrocket once Mandela passed on. Well 12 years later the Scoin Shop after following up with them 3 times offered me R 3800 for the coin which is not even the value of the gold it contains.

They even admitted that their offer was based purely on the value of the gold and the fact that is was a Nelson Mandela coin played no role at all.

In other words the premium you pay when buying these Mandela and other coins is a complete waste of your money. Here is the kicker though, they expected to take my coin and only pay me after 30 working days - Who does this ?

Anyway goods news for anyone wanting to sell their Scoin Shop Gold and Silver coins, there are other options. Gold Capital not only paid me more than the Scoin Shop, but also bought one of their silver coins, which the Scoin Shop declined to do AND PAID ME BEFORE I LEFT THE SHOP.

As I matter of interest I asked them what they were going to do with the coins and was told they would be melted down. Further proof that there is no value to these coins other than their precious metal value
