Rude receptionist

Had a not so great experience with one of the receptionists. The form first time patients are required to complete to create a new file is vague and open to interpretation in some parts. One line says "Medical aid fund". Medical aid fund? What does that mean? Am I meant to write the medical aid's name or the plan I'm on? Every other form I have filled out in many other places just clearly says "medical aid/medical aid name" which is much easier to understand. Another line on the form says "Number". Number??? What number? Member number? Dependent number? Phone number? House number? So, in the interest of time, I left these lines out and continued filling in the rest of the form. My trip to these Radiologists was unplanned so I was a bit flustered at the moment and forgot to ask about those confusing lines I didn't fill in and gave one receptionist the form. The receptionist, instead of asking about that vague section of the form which I had forgotten I left unfilled asked a question I believed to be unrelated to the form (a question about payment), leading to a minor misunderstanding which I don't think she handled well. The form is clearly ambiguous and open to interpretation. "Number" can refer to all sorts of things, even within the context of a medical aid. The receptionist in question may not have thought about this, and perhaps that is why she made that small misunderstanding about payment seem like a train smash? That form is just a poorly written form, but what's that receptionist's excuse for being so irritable and rude?

And I don't completely understand why they were all sitting in a group like that (the receptionists). It makes them unapproachable. And although they may be discussing work-related issues, when you've had the kind of service I have or worse, you can't help but think they're having their own personal chats. It's not a good look and it's not a professional feel.

The radiologists themselves were not bad. I got my X-rays done within a reasonable time frame. However, I wish they introduced themselves before taking your scan.

They're also apparently notorious for giving/sending reports 1-2 hours after your x-ray/scan. I don't even know if I was supposed to get that from them or if they would send it to the doctor who referred me... Something else the receptionists didn't explain. Maybe if they were split up they'd actually pay attention to the people walking through the doors and explain all the paperwork you get, especially that vague section on that one form. Their efficiency and customer service may be hampered because they're all huddled together behind one desk. Or maybe they're just ***********? All those people at the main desk and not a single one mentioned a report to me? And the receptionist who could have was more concerned with being visibly annoyed about a minor misunderstanding that wouldn't have happened if their forms were less vague. I won't return... That receptionist's attitude put a bad taste in my mouth.
