Worst Customer Services Experience from Mmagauta and Kelebogile. at SAYA Recoveries
I contacted SAYA Recoveries with regards to an outstanding MTN Account in my name. I spoke to an agent in October 2023 and we made an arrangement to settle the amount in 5 monthly installments.
I was guided by an agent called Tholakele, to make an initial paynebt via EFT on my Capitec app. Which I did successfully and paid the agreed amount.
A debit order arrangement was made. I paid the second installment via debit order in November, third in December, fourth in January and last in February 2024.
Today, the 23rd of February 2024, the final debit order went through and I contacted SAYA Recoveries to check if the account has been updated.
I spoke to a Kelebogile or Relebogile, whom I asked for information on the account balance and I was informed that it was outstanding with a balance of around R490 or something.
I then asked her how come when I have already paid the 5 installments as agreed. In her explain, she said that the agent who helped me was no longwe with the company.
She imp**** that she is only helping me because I called and I then asked her if she's saying that she was not obligated to help me and she reiterated that the agent who helped me was no longer with them.
I then asked if it is not their responsibility as a company to assist me as a client and she rudely said asked if I'm going to pay the amount or not.
I told her I will not be paying for something I was not made aware of and she claimed that it was the previous agent's fault. I questioned that if one of them makes such mistakes in the line of duty, why should I as a customer pay.
I asked to speak to a supervisor or manage and she refused by telling me that the supervisor is busy. While I was trying to seek for more clarity, she hung up the call.
I got a call from another number and the agent claimed to be the supervisor. Her name was Magauta or Mmagauta. I explained the above and then she said the outstanding amount is a collection fee that is charged on every debit order.
I asked why was it not collected together with every debit order and she said the agent who initially helped did not explain some things. After a heated exchange, she recommended that she will listen to the call with the initial agent.
When I asked for a copy of the recording, she mentioned that if I want to listen to it then I'll have to come to their offices. This was a clear indication that she did not want to go through that.
She further explained that the initial agent filed for the debit order to kick off from November to March for the 5 installments where else I had already started paying it off in October via EFT.
Justifying that the final debit order was supposed to be in March and take up the collection fees as well. I then asked her why would an agent ask me to pay an initial installment and then make a debit order like I didn't pay for the first month.
We ended up disagreeing with each other and she rudely telling ne that I'm wasting her time, asked if I will pay or not. I told her that I will not pay for something I wasn't made aware of.
I'm beyond disappointed with SAYA Recoveries and their staff. I was clearly the victim and they did all they could to protect themselves and not solve my problem.
They are rude and disrespectful. MTN should move to better debt collectors because these guys are just terrible at this business. I will not pay any collection fees for as long as I wasn't made aware of them.
0 rating from me.
